SOTTO ZERO USA ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP

Fairview, NJ- Sotto Zero USA is proud to announce that it has formed a Partnership with published author and Food Network Chopped Champion Chef Eric LeVine, to work on a project to be announced in the Spring of 2012.
Starting at age 11, Eric had shown an interest in foodservice when working for a caterer. Fanning that spark, Eric’s grandfather sent him to France, at the age of 14, to work under Chef Jean Louis at La Maison in Lyon where he learned how to finesse the romance of a dish. Two years later, he was “shipped” to Florence to work under Chef Giovanni Brunello where he learned how to infuse passion and robust flavor into his cooking. Brunello then put him on a plane to Tokyo to work with Chef Lee Ho where he learnedhow to marry old-world practices with modern cuisine.
Returning to the U.S., Eric attended the Culinary Institute of America. From there he worked in many notorious restaurants culminating in him becoming the Chef de Cuisine at the famed Marriott Marquis in New York City.
The James Beard Foundation, world famous for re-establishing the American way of cooking and the technique of using only fresh, indigenous ingredients, recognized Chef Eric for his contributions to the gastronomic culinary scene in the United States and nominated him for Outstanding Chef of Year.  In addition, Chef Eric was also invited for the third time to host a dinner at the James Be­ard House in New York for the Great Regional Chefs of America Series, the first catering chef to be given this prestigious opportunity.
The superlatives continued when The International Chef’s Association named Chef Eric Creative Caterer of the Year and Chef of the Year – the only American chef to receive that distinction.
With Chef Eric joining on our side we plan to continue our expansion into the Frozen Dessert Market and increase our current product offerings.

SOTTO ZERO USA ANNOUNCES NEW POSITIONS IN THE COMPANY

Fairview, NJ- As Sotto Zero USA expands, and our market increases to include the entire Tri-State Area, there are some changes that we wish to announce.

We like to welcome Robert Verdino as our new operating partner. Robert is the owner of Dozzino Hoboken, (www.dozzino.com) and he will assume the position of Director of Sales and as such he will be the main driving force behind our expansion on both a regional and national level. Robert has an extensive background in marketing and sales and will be a crucial addition to the Sotto Zero team.


Manuel Klinar will be making a lateral move as our new Director of Marketing. His responsibilities will include event planning, marketing campaigns and will ultimately be responsible for any PR contact that Sotto Zero will be faced with. His myriad of contacts in the food industry and innovative marketing skills will be beneficial to the overall direction of Sotto Zero.


As changes are necessary to maintain a competitive position in the market and become bigger and stronger, please rest assured that our commitment to excellence and will never be compromised and we will strive to remain true to our mission to create delicious gelato made with the best natural ingredients available while maintaining the standards that we have set for ourselves since our inception.

A New Beginning



Sotto Zero fans, this past two and half years have been some of the best years in my life.

I have met many great people thanks to these blue walls and the passion that Carolyn, my family and I have put into creating our delicious Gelato and Sorbetto; I enjoyed every one of your smiles, the ravishing comments and the support you all provided us.

It is with true disappointment that today I inform you we will no longer be serving you out of this location.
Sotto Zero is growing, thanks to all of you, and we are no longer able to maintain current operation out of this facility.  I have found myself spending this last season attempting to figure out a solution, a way to make it all work out and try to keep North Arlington open while our Wholesale operation is run from a different location, with no other solution than, temporarily, step away from the retail scene and concentrate on growth and expansion of our brand.

Just like with any tough decision in life, “what school should I go to?” “what should I major in?” “should I marry this guy/gal?”, this has been tormenting me for almost a year but I am happy to announce that as of today at 11:30 AM we are official vendors at Whole Foods Market and that soon you’d be able to purchase our products from any of their stores in the Tri-State Area.

We will be moving to a Facility in Bergenfield, NJ which is currently being remodeled to fit NJ State and FDA requirements and will serve as our production and distribution point for our North East Market and the hub for our planned National expansion.

Our goal is to make our gelato and sorbetto not only available at Whole Foods Market and Corrado’s Market but to be present in Kings Supermarkets, Stop and Shop, A&Ps and Food Emporiums as well as small gourmet grocers that can appreciate the harmonious simplicity of our creations.

You will still be able to find our products at local restaurants and catering halls as well as event we’ll hosting throughout the calendar year. Please follow our progress by visiting: Sotto Zero USA as well as our Facebook Page.

Through our re-vamped site you can also purchase pints that would be shipped out directly to you in case you don’t want to take the ride to the supermarket. (I know it’s not the same…but it’s better than nothing! :) )
This is not a farewell but a simple good bye for now, see you soon!
